EVTECH’s Vocational Open Online Course (VOOC) designed specifically for training mechanics in the maintenance and safety of Electric Vehicles (EVs). This comprehensive course equips participants with essential knowledge and hands-on skills to navigate the unique challenges of EV technology. Through engaging modules and interactive assessments, learners gain confidence in servicing electric vehicles while prioritising safety and efficiency. The VOOC not only enhances the skill set of mechanics but also contributes to the broader goal of fostering a sustainable automotive future. Best of all, this valuable online resource is openly available to all for free, ensuring that anyone can access the training needed to enhance their skills.

2. E-BOOK

EVTECH’s e-book serves as a comprehensive guide for learners, summarizing key concepts and providing additional resources. This e-book includes basic explanations of EV components, maintenance protocols, and safety practices, ensuring that mechanics have the tools they need to excel. Best of all, the e-book is openly available to all for free, making this vital training accessible to everyone.

3. STATEMENT OF SUPPORT

We invite you to join a growing coalition of stakeholders in the automotive and education sectors by signing the EVTECH Statement of Support. This initiative is a vital step toward meeting the increasing demand for qualified technicians in the rapidly evolving EV landscape. By endorsing this statement, you affirm the importance of the project’s outcomes, including the Vocational Open Online Course (VOOC) and accompanying e-book, as vital resources for both current mechanics and the future workforce. Your support will advocate for the continuation of the project’s results, ensuring that mechanics are equipped to handle the challenges of the automotive industry’s future.

4. CERTIFICATE SUPPLEMENT

As part of the EVTECH project, the consortium has created an official Europass Certificate Supplement. This supplement is designed to facilitate Vocational Education and Training (VET) providers in incorporating the training materials from our project into their certified curricula. By offering an official certificate of qualification, we aim to enhance the recognition of the skills gained through our Vocational Open Online Course (VOOC) and e-book. This initiative not only streamlines the certification process for VET providers but also ensures that learners receive formal acknowledgment of their achievements in Electric Vehicle safety and maintenance, supporting their career development in the growing automotive sector.

5. SPECIFICATIONS FOR AN EU-WIDE PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION

The consortium has developed a comprehensive blueprint that a) outlines common occupational requirements and b) provides updated descriptions for relevant occupational profiles in the field of Electric Vehicle (EV) maintenance and safety. This blueprint is designed to be recognised and integrated into national certification schemes and the European Skills, Competences, Qualifications and Occupations (ESCO) classification system. By aligning EVTECH’s training outcomes with established occupational standards, we aim to enhance the recognition of skills within the automotive sector and facilitate greater mobility for professionals across Europe. This initiative not only strengthens the quality of vocational training but also supports the transition to a sustainable automotive workforce equipped for the challenges of the future.
